Experience Highlights

I'm a Montréal-based filmmaker, photographer, and editor with over 15 years of experience working across music, documentary, live performance, and the arts. My approach to visual storytelling is rooted in capturing authentic moments, exploring creative processes, and highlighting the people and communities behind them.

In 2011, I founded Here On Out Sessions, an independent platform dedicated to documenting music and creative culture. What began as a passion for recording intimate live performances has grown into a broader practice encompassing artist portraits, concert videography, documentary filmmaking, photography, and promotional content. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with musicians, festivals, artists, and cultural organizations in Montréal and beyond.

My experience also extends to international touring productions, particularly through my work as a live video editor and stage technician for Kid Koala. Productions such as The Storyville Mosquito have taken me to stages around the world, where I've worked with multi-camera systems, live video switching, audiovisual technology, and the technical demands of live performance. These experiences have shaped how I approach filmmaking, combining creative intuition with technical versatility and an ability to adapt to different environments.

Alongside my visual work, music remains an important part of my creative practice. In 2024, I received a Canada Council for the Arts grant supporting a music research and creation project exploring Filipino heritage, cultural identity, and musical traditions. This ongoing interest in the relationship between art, culture, and personal history continues to influence the stories I choose to tell.

I hold a Master's degree in New Media and Digital Culture from the University of Amsterdam (2018) and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Concordia University (2014). Working in both English and French, I've collaborated with creative teams across Canada and internationally, bringing together a background in music, filmmaking, photography, and live production.

Whether documenting a performance, profiling an artist, or producing a video for an organization, my goal remains the same: to create thoughtful, engaging work that feels genuine to the people and stories at its centre.
